What are the criteria to qualify as a mentor? What are the responsibilities and requirements for an MI-BAT mentor? Learn about the newly re-established beginning ag teacher mentorship program and get your questions answered about how you can get involved as a mentor for the 2024 – 2025 school year.

● How to Demonstrations-Matt Dice

Need ways to help your students do Leadership Demonstrations? How do you encourage your kids to get excited to do a demonstration and how do you pick topics? Learn these and more at this session.

• Pork Checkoff –Donna Moenning & Chad Martin Here’s a great addition to your Animal Science or General Agriculture classes! Destination Pork is free curriculum from the US Pork Center of Excellence and it’s aligned with AFNR standards. Come learn more about the curriculum and how to apply it in your classroom. Through Destination Pork, students are able to gain a deeper understanding of the industry, its endless opportunities, and how they can further their career options.
• “Implementing Inquiry in the Classroom” – Emily Kilmer

Take a dive into the world of inquiry through hands-on, student-led methods. During this session, we will explore what inquiry is, experience inquiry as a “student,” and finally learn how to assess what level of inquiry our lessons achieve. Get ready to leave the session with a useful tool to revamp your instruction and increase your exploration of material.

• CASE Small Engines-Kevin Pluimer- Need some lessons to teach your Small Engines section of Ag Power? This session will explore a few sample lessons of what you can get through the CASE Small Engines course. Have you ever attended a CASE conference? This will give you an idea of what the CASE curriculum is like.

● Get Your Students EXCITED about Careers in Agriculture-Cam Frazier/Laura Crosby

If there were a way for you to bring real-world examples and experiences to your students for each unit, without adding more work to your plate, that’s something you’d want to know more about, isn’t it?! The best part is that your students will be excited to engage in these lessons through the highly interactive website without you putting in hours of lesson planning beforehand. In this session, we will share with you how to implement this as a whole unit or “ala carte” for each class.

Want to coach a team? Learn what is involved in the Floriculture CDE and how you can also use this for sections of your curriculum. Gain ideas and ways to educate your students on the

Floriculture industry.

Learn about an exciting new opportunity for your FFA members who may not be going to college or a technical school. This workshop will explain how your current Senior FFA members or future members can spend time with Co-Alliance and learn about each section.

• An overview of the major lawn/sports field grasses for The Midwest– Purdue University Cale Bigelow

This presentation will highlight the cool and warm-season grasses that are commonly grown in a Midwestern State like Indiana. The emphasis will be on the primary strengths and weaknesses of each species and their suitability for use in lawns and sports fields across the region.

● What to train a future state officer- Marty Matlock

Have a student(s) that are looking to run for state office? Want new ideas and ways to train your officers to prepare them. Learn the steps and techniques to help train your students to prepare for running for state office.

● Concentrator A & B Panel- Gabe Nobbe, Brittany Kloer,

Learn how to set up your program for Next Level Pathways. This panel discussion will go through how to help your students succeed and make your program marketable in your school systems.

● Fundraiser Session – Jame Earhart/Kenna Slough

Looking for ideas on Fundraisers? Already doing Fruit Sales and need help to improve your fundraisers? This session will cover some different areas for fundraising and expand on Fruit sales and more.
